in my friendgroup/pod are about 9 active players, 5 of them are relatively, me and a friend have been playing for 7 years.
Going through the same old "just start playing with power and keep arms race to dig yourself deeper into the salt mines" pipeline is getting really old

Faggots Bane - this spell resolves as the game starts, and doesn’t count against your 100 cards.

All players remove all non-land cards with a mana cost of 0 from their hands and libraries, then remove all game changers. Then each player receives an emblem with ‘if you would demonstrate an infinite combo with 2 cards, you lose the game, exile all cards you own from all zones, phased permanents cant come back, you get 10 poison counters, your life total is 0’

This filler rule has no effect on most games, but is a built-in auto-loss for pubstomp cunts who lie through their fucking teeth

Every day blue becomes more and more of a hero that the game needs but isn't willing to accept as WotC keeps printing shit with Ward/Indestructible.

>Offer deckbuilding advice to a player one time
>He's now just sending me unfocused EDHrec piles asking for cuts
>Just taking out the objectively horrible cards would probably put him below 100
>Condensing it to one goal instead of two or three would probably take it below 60
>Don't have the energy to fix his decks when he's doing shit like running Fling with no targets in grixis
Is there a polite way to tell this guy he's being a fucking moron and needs to focus down his decks beyond random cards he thinks might sometimes produce value, BEFORE asking me for free deckbuilding advice?
Jesus christ I suddenly understand why every content creator charges for this stuff. Just looking at these lists is so draining and the fix is always "Pick one focus instead of five. Cut the random goodstuff bombs that cost 8 mana. Add protection/removal/draw. Stop running 25 lands."
