>then do something like they did with the Andorians.
Holy shit, anon, you're like a pinata of bad taste. The blind Andorian shit was one of the worst creative decisions of ENT by far.

You would think that being a mod, or janny, or whatever he is that lets him avoid all rules or consequences for breaking them, he would be able to retaliate by removing /trek/ altogether from /tv/ but I guess Swaglord or somebody that outranks him forbids it

so he just ruins the thread instead
/tv/ - Why 80s customs look better than modern ones?

Practical effects guys worked constantly in the 80s because computer animation was in its absolute infancy

They had a ton of experience and were way better than their modern constituents -- any Hollywood job that has been replaced by greenscreens has gotten so much worse. Costumes, set design, practical effects -- it's because they're not getting the same kind of experience.

There's just less decently budgeted work for them these days, so you get people who don't know what they're doing, glorified cosplayers.
Go look up the credits of the guys who did the make-up on Star Trek or made monsters in 80s movies and you'll see they just worked constantly, tens of thousands of hours of experience on the job.
