Unironically read Schopenhauer before you decude. I've been in the same predicament in the last couple days and I'm much older than you, so I wanna stress that I'm not ridiculing or judging you. We are only human and it's in our nature the desire to engage with life this way, and "love" or desire is maybe the biggest force that moves us. Schopenhauer has helped me immensly and prevented me to fuck up things even more, I wish I had read him sooner. You can start with Wisdom of Life or whatever is called in english. It's simple and comprehensible but very powerful.
