Not really. I'm typing on a PETG dactyl right now for what it's worth. PLA starts to soften at 60C so just don't leave it in a black car sitting in the sun on an arizona summer day.

Being using split columnar stagger boards for over 10 years now, wouldn't want to go back. Wouldn't want to go back to a flat board after switching to a dacytl neither.
These boards are programmable so I don't see why you couldn't make it work for whatever coding you do.
