It comes from God.
Things are good only because it has some traces of God's love. But it is not God, and therefore should not be in charge of our lives

Imagine that on your feet are shiny glass and flashlights
You are designed to follow the light.

Thus, follow the light, not the reflections and imitations

And yes, I would fight you tooth and nail over this small difference because lack of vigilance leads to idolatry. Always remember to seek the source of all that is good
