>sounds of your footsteps and clanking armor
I still hear that
>take your time
My Elden Ring playthrough (including DLC) took like 350 hours because I took my time
>healing spells actually had a purpose
If anything I got more use out of heals in Elden Ring with some of the undead monsters eating shit to a nearby heal than I did in Dark Souls
>shield was almost universally useful
Yes I also remember getting a Grass Crest Shield or Shield of Want and not having to pay attention to any other shield
>didn't need to roll every other second and every encounter
Elden Ring is genuinely bad about this but it's a consequence of the EXTREME aggression in enemy AI and especially boss AI; Dark Souls 3 is still closer to DS1 and DS2 in actual practice than it is to Elden Ring, and people heralded that one as "Bloodborne bosses against a Dark Souls character"
Sekiro isn't a Souls game
