Once you get used to range, kiting and the schmoovement of diving the moment you catch on fire. You basically don't need to wear fire resistant armour and you can kill Chargers, BTs and Impalers without ATs.

Just a reminder though, if you are using flame weapons then stick close to the host or BE THE HOST. Go farther than 50-100 meters from the host and you won't burn anything and will only be doing direct surface damage. This applies to gas too.

Correction: All Flamer weapons have the same damage, range and burn damage except Flamethrower stratagem doing tiiiiiiiiiiiiny bit more direct damage (which got recently nerfed) which is why Torcher is better now because the name of the game is Burn Damage since it scales with size but larger enemies also takes longer to burn (Bots partticularly takes even longer to get burned)

Datamined Burn damage scalings for large targets:

Hulk - Fire 1.5x
Berserkers and Devastators - Fire 1.25x
Factory Strider - Fire 2x
Charger (all kinds) - Fire 1.5x
Impaler and Bilet Titan - Fire 1.7x
Fleshmob - Fire 2x
Harvester - Fire 1.5x

My go to solo/carry loadout for D10 squid:

Deadeye/Any primary (Deadeye one headshots all overseers)

Crisper (HIGHLY efficient for voteless and fleshmob.)

120mm for reinforcement call ins

Gas Dog / Warp Pack (Gas dog is incredible for fleshmob since it'll blind and confuse them. Make sure to stick close to the host so the bug doesnt occur)

Commando / AWP / Laser Cannon (AWP is an underdog for squid, it 4 taps harvesters and one shot overseers on the head AND one taps observers. It also 4-5 shots stingrays.)

MG Sentry (Squids have incredible hearing and an MG sentry can literally bait the whole colony, making your life easier.)

Basically you want something to one shot or quickly kill overseers before they notice you, something efficient to kill the fleshmob and voteless and something to deal Harvester/Stingrays easily.

Nah. You don't need any more than EAT for bugs. 3 Heavies every 55 seconds is more than enough and I say this as a bugnigger who dives mostly bugs and squids.

Thats why I bring Strafing Run only for impalers or far away bug holes if I ran out of nades

That's why I have this baby for killing the whole horde and chargers

By the time I finished killing the chargers and impalers, I can call down another EAT to kill one with the hellpod then instantly kill the other with EAT

Look man, I dont mind Quasar. I bring it when it's on a cold planets. But even on the heavy bug seeds where there's 3 Bile Titans and 5 chargers pop up in a single breach, I still don't have a problem since I always bring Strafing Run, Gas Dog and EAT for bugs.
