That's it. They're kinda mono build right now though. You need to bring 2 slots minimum of anti chaff. You can bring other shit though and pick up the machine gun in the map. But you need to use the machine gun all the time.

I'd say squids right now are honestly the least threatening faction in the game if you bring meta. At least bots shoot you back, and bugs can pred swarm you instantly.
Easiest without meta would probably be bots. You can bring pretty much anything, but they are consistent and counterable if you go prone. Factory striders and hulks will wreck you though if you don't have their counter handy, but it's no where near as bad as other factions. I don't think it's possible to make a build that wouldn't work against bots.

If you have AP3 and a stun you are basically set with any flame weapon. Granted yeah if you went full retard and tried to build a bad flame build you'd have a hard time prolly. The playerbase is split between people who want to go on a powertrip by killing a massive army of fodder as some kind of almighty supersoldier, and people who want to get their balls stomped while fighting a massive army of genuine monsters like they're a regular guy in a milsim.
Both sides want to fight a massive army, but can't agree on how difficult fighting that army should be.
Additionally, lowering the difficulty doesn't work in a way that actually appeals to anyone because all it does is remove content and lower spawns, and the devs don't want to put in the work to make a difficulty slider that isn't just "More enemies on screen" or "Less enemies on screen"

There is nothing stopping them from having all this in addition to the biohorror route they're currently taking. In fact, there's nothing stopping them from having things like fleshmobs that are bioengineered to go invisible from fucked up glands, or voteless that do mind control shit by flashing colors like a cethelopod and fucking with whoever gets too close. Voteless aren't a problem thematically or gameplaywise, and the only real problem is with Arrowhead.

Theres not really much reason to use it unless you treat your scythe as a secondary.
Even then theres not much reason to use it over base because it really doesn't take that long to cool down that you'll be swapping every 4 seconds.

Ergo + if you shoot for weakspots on bots it's extremely efficient. Higher capacity heatsink is more for bugs and ayys instead, where you're relying more on the burn application than shooting a weakspot.

The issue with the short mag on scythe is because unlike a normal gun you don't need to worry about ammo efficiency and it auto reloads. It's better to lay down fire into the crowd or focus on a single big target, and then just swap to your support while you wait for it to cooldown in the background.

I know they're one of the "small map" missions for a reason but I really do think they'd benefit from upping the play area and actually being able to spawn enemies outside of the immediate zone, have them actually advance through the field, rather than just popping up/dropping in the middle of an active death zone. Give more biomes parts of the map they actually get to spawn behind so they can at least get a wave's worth of enemies coming at you instead of trickling in piece by undemocratic piece.

I would like to see an alternate brick mission where your objective is just to survive for an amount of time, and the difficulty actually ramps up. Then if you survive for long enough you can evac, but the longer you fight the more you get.

In any other game I'd be able to shoot chaff, shoot their weak points do more damage. In this overseers you just aim center mass. Voteless you can pop heads but that doesn't give you much, fleshmobs have no weak point, harvesters kinda have weak points and I think they're interesting.

There was no real reason to use it before, since it was just a stats swap of the stock Liberator. Now that weapon customization is in the game, there's even less reason since the Killzone stuff never got customization options.

Enemies I think would be interesting:

Jet Brigade variants of Scout Striders, Gunships and Annihilator/Shredder Tanks. The Scout Striders have jets mounted on their sides instead of rockets, and can chase you down even more efficiently. The Tanks have hover jets instead of treads that give them significantly faster speed and rotation, allowing them to chase down players more easily and turn to face players to keep their engine compartments out of line of fire. The Gunships have even more speed and agility, will actively attempt to dodge incoming fire, and Gunship Patrols will immediately aggro on and chase players down upon spawning like Stingrays.

Incineration Corps variants of Gunships, Shredder Tanks and Berserkers. Gunships just fire incendiary rockets like the Rocket Devastator variant, Shredder Tanks just have a huge flamethrower mounted as a turret instead of Shilka-type flak guns and Berserkers just run at you with flaming swords instead of chainsaws.

Predator Strain variants of Chargers and Hive Guards. Predator Chargers are much more agile while not charging (can turn around faster to keep their butt protected, can sidestep to avoid incoming AT warheads, just moves around faster in general, etc.) and their charge is even faster. Predator Hive Guards will actually rush at you instead of hunkering down whenever you shoot at them.

Gloom variants of, well, everything. Right now there's only gloom chaff enemies, and the Spore Charger which functions similarly.

I'm not really sure what kind of sub-factions Illuminate should have. Maybe bubble shield variants of non-Harvester enemies, would make Fleshmobs and Stingrays a lot harder to bring down.

I bought this game on the Sumner sale. It's awesome I really like it and already dumped 12 hours in like 2 days. But I'm completely lost. Every mission I just follow other higher level people and shoot at enemies but I really don't know what's going on at all for the most part. What I'm most confused about is the MO thing and all the different planets. I don't know what any of it means or what I'm contributing to. It seems different planets actually have different enemies or something? Also so far I find the squids to be the most difficult. I did a lot of bug and bot missions the first day and never felt like I had too much challenge. But the squids are kicking my ass. And not just me but the other people on my team. Surprisingly I end up with the most kills every time but I've yet to even finish a full operation with squids. Every time we get completely swarmed everyone starts rage quitting or we end up failing on the generator defense missions.

I also notice the illuminate have the least people at all times, even when the main objective says to go there there's significantly more people fighting bugs. People in game all say they hate squids.

Online people say they hate them too but not due to difficulty but rather boredom/too easy. I find them really challenging though.

MOs are objectives for the playerbase to achieve in the galactic war, every mission you do on an MO planet or objective counts towards it. They're supposed to be the storyline but the devs started stretching them out lately because they're lazy, incompetent or both. Right now, nothing ever happens. Personal objectives are the same but only for you to get medals from.
Planets are just different biomes you can play on, and enemy composition varies per mission on bots and bugs. They also get subfactions like the predator strain on Veld, they're supposed to be more difficult than the normal faction roster.

Squids are even more of a DPS check than bugs are so if you don't kill them fast enough, they will swarm you and pubs like to run away instead of shooting. They're boring because of no variety in mission or enemy types and they've been the focus for several MOs in the past months despite being an unfinished faction so no one really plays them anymore.

We have bugs that generate FTL fuel, cyborg separatists that built their own army of bots and squids that tried to nuke us multiple times after we genocided them 100 years ago because we thought they will nuke us multiple times. The most important stuff that happened over the course of the game was us turning a planet into a black hole, losing multiple planets due to squids throwing said black hole at them and making the devs donate to charity.

Amendment isn't a very good weapon. Pyrotech releases AP5 sparks and you can carry extra, so really it's up to you but I personally wouldn't take it over Thermite.

Sickle is a pretty fun weapon, it's basically a miniature Stalwart since you can fire up to 87 "rounds" before it overheats, it's very good at spitting out damage even if it's only AP2. Blitzer is okay-ish but short-ranged, I don't think it's very useful outside of bugs and squids. Punisher Plasma used to be super strong but the Purifier completely outclasses it nowadays.

How can half the players at d10 be so fucking clueless, unable to stick together and kill enemies in general. Each time there's a Stalker nest thats automatic 2 reinforcements AT LEAST. A Bile Titan is an actual threat since if the 500kg thrown at the breach it crawled from doesnt kill it, the players brains shut downs and it runs around a minute at least, often killing multiple players because diving sideways is haaaaard. It doesnt matter which faction is more difficult, it matters which faction has more functional teammates. Bugs are by far more difficult simply because half of the time you're forced to play with people who struggle to put their shirt on the right way in the morning.

Once you start regularly playing d7+, you'll be used to the amount of enemies that appear and really you'll need to start taking stratagems that can control a breach/drop. it'd be anything that can be dispersed over a wide area, usually napalm/orbitals. Sentries can also be used but placement can be iffy depending on where it happens, just notify your team beforehand and it'll probs be fine.
