Pauline is the shittiest Mario character of all time. All she does is sing. That's it. That's her whole personality. That she sings.

And now with Bananza they drove it home even further that all she cares about is singing, even when she's traveling through a fantastical underground world. It is the most mindnumbingly bland characteristic she could possibly have. All the other Mario girls are infinitely more interesting than her and are not defined by a single trait.
