One of my closest friends moved to NYC due to a job offer. Has been out there close to a year now, and his drinking has only gotten worse. I don’t even ask him what he’s up to anymore since it seems like he’s almost disappointed with his answers. It’s the same shit every day, every weekend. Drinking, some restaurant that may or may not be new, drinking again. Even the restaurants he takes me to when I do visit are the same places we’ve already been to prior. Needless to say he’s fucking miserable and I feel sorry for him.
