since you get defensive from simple speech, here is a fact list instead:
1. enough overwhelming pain can shutdown your ability to differentiate pain from non-pain, more so constructing narratives like "suffering"
2. this can be called a state
3. this state can be called, for convenience - for language is exactly for empirical convenience. narratives are games for the bored, and some get addicted to games
4. utter doom is a good enough name for the state in this context. not a narrative since it's a pointer to an objectively/empirically verifiable state
