You do me a kindness, and so I return the favor.
This was sent to me by my son.

financially wise anons i need ur guidance
i am 29 yrs old...
i write smartcontracts for a network and been making good money.
it's a remote job so I stay at my own home most of the time.
here's the thing, my parents visit my home recently, it's a small home and they wanna see me live in a larger house. not only that, they dont want to see me work at home anymore, as in they wanna see me work like everybody else - drive/commute to work, meet some people, hang out in the evening, etc.
is this a valid concern? we had a long talk but mostly it's me listening to them talk, comparing me to other siblings/cousins/their friends' sons and i dont explain anything, not defending myself. im trying to be a good listener and a good son here. i spent hours thinking about what they said. then again, after been absorbing too much /biz/ posts, i like what i do (wfh, crypto work, etc.). should i really buy a bigger house, expensive cars, change my job, etc.? or my parents are being retarded?
