There's no cultivation at all, and there's no real cultivation themes either.
Aside from that the story was pretty dull, nothing about the writing is particularly interesting, there aren't any standout emotional moments or even any real hype scenes. I can't remember anything particularly bad about it but also nothing particularly good.
Though one weird thing is that the proxy actually kind of... got nerfed? They can't (or at least don't) de-corrupt people anymore and all their new "powers" are just standard gameplay mechanics. I remember people talking about them getting training off-screen but actually not even that happens, they just barely learn shit.
