This SoA-assembled "lore team" isn't even a team, and all they've done so far is entertain Ian's reference autism. They're terrible at grasping the intended game characterization as always.

Knuckles, Blaze, and Silver don't guard anything meaningful. What they guard only has meaning to their diehard fans who refuse to realize that Sonic Team don't give a shit about it. Being on-screen and fighting is the only value they have as characters now. The ME will never be treated like it was early in the franchise. Same with the Sol Dimension and Emeralds. Silver's future is not even mentioned in-game in Forces and instead is in supplementary material like a comic book character.
