>Uchikomi and randori.
Thanks anon, I'll do as you suggested. Great tips. I guess I have to do my homework and slowly break down the step/methodology. Another anon saying to pick 4 throws is helpful in giving myself something concrete.
>work, posture, balance, and breakfalls while looking to set up a throw of your own
Makes sense, having something to focus on despite having no clue on throwing is helpful
>Getting thrown a bunch also helps
I tend to get cramps, especially in my legs and arm when I land. Is it only a diet issue or is there more to it?
>proficient in zero throws or that you aren't even vaguely familiar with any throws?
Bit of both honestly. I took some time off to handle some family matters. I think I need to practice my uchikomi more on the basics. A typical class involves a warm up game, and then rolls, before newaza, randori for newaza, before practicing a technique, tai otoshi this time round, before we move into randori.
>it just means that you don't have a good way to measure your progress right now.
that's a good way to think about it I guess..I'll keep showing up.
thanks for taking time writing back on my blogpost. hope this cute picture is enough.
