With the increasing popularity of anime by outside circles and 'normals' as one might be inclined to call them, has anyone on /a/ let it affect their views of anime?

Me personally, I just refuse to watch certain anime outright in relation to how many americans interact with it. Dandandan and Jujutsu no Kaisen are two major examples of anime I can never reliably watch due to western bases just unnerving me with their obsession for it.

Is this reasoning sensible? Does /a/ engage in something similar when picking up new shows? Does /a/ even watch anime anymore?

JP holos are typically just japanese girls playing games with anime models. Some are faking their voice for views or some are major whores, but none of them are as egregious as Kiara or Fuwamoco so they can be watched by any JP fan and be relatable with.
