Which is exactly why he should do it in a better way. If you've ever worked on a project for a long time, or you've put something down for a while before picking it back up again, you should be familiar with the feeling of looking at your own code and wondering what the fuck you were smoking. But then you try to improve some glaring inefficiency only for everything to break, and you suddenly remember that you did, in fact, have a good reason for writing it like that. The difference between
