this has nothing to do with AI. Chinese law and Mihoyo contract already offers better protection against AI misuise than american ones. More over, the VAs in question werent even part of Sag Aftra, they simply refused work trying to strongarm Mihoyo to sign Sag Aftra contract, violating their own. It lasted for 6 month, so in process they were all reaplaced. They tried to bully VAs that replaced them too.
They were complete cretins, made a joke of themselves on twitter after which left it and got what they deserved. It was litteral mafia scheme where independent VAs recieved threatening letters from SAG AFTRA, and those who signed contracts blatantly violated them.
