So you're telling me that Russia took ~10% of Ukraine in about 2 months during the 2014 annexation, but the past 3.5 years they went from holding ~35-40% of Ukraine to 18-20%, and they haven't been able to capture an additional 0.8% since then, while simultaneously speedrunning 20% the casualties of the Soviet-Afghan War in a third of the time?
No shit Russia had an easier time in 2014 when people gave them the benefit of the doubt of not being violent rapeapes and Ukraine was receiving little to no support in the West. Trying to use that time as some sort of "gotcha" in the face of what's going on in the present (Less than 1% captured, million+ casualties) reeks of cope.
It would be like Washington demanding answers and a plan of action when China fully entered the Korean War, and the general in charge of the theater going "b-b-but what about a couple years ago when we were kicking ass!?! Take that Chicoms!" Said general would promptly be called a retard and retired from his post.
