Not entirely safe, enemies can chase your ass in midair or break your combo which leaves you pretty vulnerable.

I wonder what difficulty to start on, normal looks pretty easy but based on what was said at gamescom is might be a decent enough challenge to the uninitiated. Although I've been typically starting games on the hardest difficulty lately.
