Hard to explain but maybe like Nioh? Different weapons have different skills tied to them. Iron Pineapple has a lets pay where he shows off most of the mechanics.

Otherwise the game seems to have a wide variety of outfits ranging from chinese splint armor to courtesan dresses to witch robes.
No different to how diverse the outfits in your average dark souls/elden ring is.
