when you think about it, it's the "beginner music nerd album", alongside kendrick and radiohead's music (who are also highly rated on the site). rym is infested with those "beginner music nerd" people who have like a max 300 ratings on any albums. it's extremely popular outside internet music circles as well, it's a modern classic. it's a solid album but not even the dude's best. i don't mind it being as regarded as it is but top 30 of all time is almost as funny as the site's death grips placements, a decrement to how music discussion online has tarnished and forever ruined thanks to these people.
