If you are 18 years old and go in for the GI Bill you are going to get out and go to school 4 years later than your cohort and that will have knock on effects to your life down the road. If you are going in, go in career, get an education while you are in related to the MOS you are in, and then immediately go into the private sector collecting a tax free pension and then become a contractor related to your MOS
