Many things starting from that point are really too convenient when you think of it. I see that theory of their avatars reflecting the humans inner issues and it's very difficult to not think theres some mind delving in there in order to create the models instead of being a randomized process we are made to believe

True mind possession might not be a thing but we gotta remember: Caine can manipulate their physical models without their mental input that's true and also the humans can still feel pain or an approximation of it so head injuries are a possibility that is true too -head trauma on the other hand we don't know aside of kinger-. a human might not be able to fall into a vegetable state because that is a type of death and therefore "prohibited" by the game but if it were to happen then it's very possible Caine could go to just puppeteer the unresponsive body to make it do activities not really understanding why the human themselves doesn't do it (and to everyone's horror)
