How did they fuck up Devil May Cry so hard anyway? The gameplay is somewhere been a bootleg Honkai Impact 3 and a heavily gimped Nero. They had the blueprints right in front of them for proper DMC style gameplay. Having DMC weapon swapping goodness in a Final Fantasy setting has potential. You can have summons like Ifrit or Bahamut be Devil Arm equivalents or swapping through a job system like Stranger to Paradise did Nioh. They had everything they needed and they botched story and gameplay both.
