I don't care about the OP discussion, I'm just here to release my Deltarune autism rant.
To be clear, I believe Dess is The Knight, but every time someone brings up the possibility that Rudy could be the Knight, the response is always, "He's sick, retard. He couldn't possibly bring Undyne to the shelter." but literally no one would be capable of dragging Undyne to the shelter, so using that argument against Rudy specifically obviously makes no fucking sense regardless of his health. That bitch is benching CARS in chapter 2. Therefore, it stands to reason that one of three things likely happened:
>The Knight had help
>The Knight convinced her to go willingly (unlikely in my opinion)
>The Knight had access to their powers in the light world
All of which Rudy would have been perfectly capable of. The ACTUAL good evidence against it is that Rudy and Kris can be alone together in chapter 1, but nothing suspicious is said, which would be odd if they're in cahoots, but there could be an explanation.
If it weren't for that and The Knight's sword briefly appearing as a bat, I'd 100% believe it's Rudy. It'd fit Dess more cleanly into the 'lost girl' role, and Rudy not being willing to let go of the fantasy of having his daughter back would fit the themes of Deltarune perfectly. Okay autism rant over.
