Why is the local government a retirement home? Some old guy even told me his friends were 'struggling'. I have a great aunt who is 79. I know she was still working for the government as recently as 2021. Why the fuck is the government, something that should be a make work program for young people who are finding it hard to get experience to get into the private sector, a giant extended retirement plan for old people who didn't save/live too large?
