I also brought a speed loader full of buffalo bore 44sp. Was surprisingly controllable and just barely hurt.
Something about the bulldog recoil is more push and 1911 like which makes me think it’s preferable to an equivalent 20oz 357 which definitely would hurt

Also it got surprisingly nice groups.
Any bulldog owner should get a couple as it’s supposed to be able to cripple a brown bear

Turns out the Buffalo Bore bear killer round is perfectly manageable in a bulldog and it was just barely painful.
Which is a huge step up from the police positive in +p
