Average attention span has gone down. This is indisputable fact. However that isnt the real explaining factor, only a supplementing factor. The issue is that old shits (like me, 42 lmao) see these zoomers in workplace doing bare minimum without their "work ethic". What we old fellas blissfully ignore is that at our age we got personal training in our jobs (usually a fucking WEEK of someone watching over you and helping so you get up to speed) and the money you got went a lot farther. In my first summer job I made 21$ an hour adjusted for today's wages working at a warehouse. That'd mean I could cover my university tuition, housing and other expenses simply by working part time. And the work was EASY with tons of lazing aroung. The work felt worth it. Nowadays the wages in similar positions have gone from 11$ to 12,50$ while everything costs so much more that its closer to 7$.
What I'm saying is that if I got 7$ instead of 20$ and had to work twice as hard with zero training, I wouldnt be interested in doing my best either. Its not ADHD, its the work not being rewarding enough to give a shitm
