>horrible it makes people feel to play
I fail to see how this is a bad thing. It's like complaining that The Road, Manchester by the Sea or Lilya 4-ever were depressing. The fact that it makes you feel strongly that way is part of what makes it great. Same with the story, it was subversive, sure, but if you don't think Joel had it coming then idk what to tell you. Plus they were planning to kill him from the very start no matter what..and from what they say in the Behind the scenes, in far more gruesome ways. Yeah, you're not supposed to "enjoy" the story the same way as you're not supposed to enjoy the movies i mentioned. But feeling fucked up while experiencing is part of the appeal, for me. Not everything needs to be Devil May Cry. This cutscene alone made me feel more emotions than any video game i played since like Mass Effect, or maybe Death Stranding 1. And i played a shit ton of games

no, because there is torture in it it doesn't mean you are supposed to "enjoy" it, that's beyond retarded. It's supposed to make you feel emotions you shouldn't like. And that's not a bad thing. Kinda crazy that people fail to grasp shit like this. It's as simple as: it's a shitty world and these people are stuck in it and you get to witness it, and this will hurt you.

nah it's not THAT bad, it is a downgrade in every way so maybe watch it just to see how they fucked it up. But it's not an awful show, it's not like the Dragonball Evolution movie. Especially s1 is pretty solid. But if you liked the games it will make you mad
/v/ - Would this game be more acceptable if Ellie and Joel's roles were swapped?

This game is unironically too adult for /v/. It's probably the game that filtered this board the most, and will remain that game for a long time. How can you expect these people to have actual deep thoughts about it when their main arguments are "muh jews", for like 80% of things they dislike not just this game. When TLOU 3 trailer drops they will pretend like they knew it was coming all along despite now claiming the franchise is dead.

i wouldn't call them "people". Anyone who is so unreasonably mad at something without having tried it, only by following what others are doing or saying, should be called sheep, sheeple if you will.
Here are a few examples: >>714953345 >>714953427 >>714953416 These "people" don't think, don't have their own opinions. They just take whatever is considered "funny" or "trendy" here and run with it, desperately trying to fit in by just vomiting the same buzzwords and catchphrases you see in almost every thread now.

No, i know what you mean, but i am also willing to look at this as i look at some movies. Not everything always makes sense or adds up and i am willing to suspend my disbelief. If we look at it like this, Joel would have 100% died in the first game after being stabbed by that piece of metal. I found the fact that he survived that and that Ellie moved, cared and healed him the hardest thing to buy in the entirety of the 2 games. Plus there's a ton of moments like this.

well she ain't wrong

Also this is like the LAST scene in the game. How the fuck did HBO fuck season 2 so bad? It's so important that this scene happens at this point holy shit
