You should do a low level run in FFVIII. You get the Diabolos GF early in disk 1, grind just enough to learn the "no encounters" ability then spend the rest of the game with zero overworld encounters and upgrade your stats by modding cards instead. Turns it into a weird sort of sierra-ish adventure game but with boss fights and a card minigame.

Every playoff team but one ends its season with a loss and if you're trailing in the final seconds of a playoff game you have to start chucking it, so even normally competent qbs will end up just forcing bad passes due to having no other choice.

I'm going off of memory here so I'm not 100% but I think that room above the save point in the upper left corner of the map has a blue door in it so you should be able to go left from there.

If you go back to the clock room with the double jump or bat ability you can walk in and out of the room and eventually the statue on the left hand side will move and you can jump up the opening to reach a new area

On the right hand side of the map after you go down the long vertical shaft and head right towards the save room if you drop down to the bottom left corner of the vertical room just to the left of the save point, there's a breakable wall that leads to a secret area

It's about a guy who kills his wife and then has a schizo episode while waiting to be executed except it's told from the schizo's point of view. The narrative is disjointed and nightmarish because it's happening in the head of someone who's fukcin' crazy, man.

Triangle is the heavier attack so it's slower but you need to work it in there for higher damage. Doing long combos with square looks cool but you should always be working towards triangle finishers. Spamming a bunch of square is like throwing nothing but jabs. Also, grab attacks do excellent damage.

And their damage will increase with upgrades so make blade upgrades your highest priority so their damage increases as you go along. Once you've leveled them up a few times it'll take a while to accrue the orbs necessary for the higher upgrade tiers so then it might be time to think about taking some of the cheaper upgrades for magic or such. But your first 2 upgrades at the very least should be to the blades

Actraiser for SNES. The action bits are fun but not terribly long or difficult and the god sim is half baked but makes for a nice change of pace between levels and is very chill. Has some really nice parallax scrolling and great music. Will eat up a day or two but ends before it wears out its welcome. And it's basically an explicitly christian game that just wasn't allowed to be labeled as such so technically there's about 2,000 years of lore
