In the past 20 days I leveled 10 characters from 1 to 80. I boosted one more and I've made the decision to use next xpac's boost on a monk. I was initially thinking of boosting a druid but changed my mind because I dislike the clusterfuck hotbar management becomes with all the different forms. I also prefer blood elves who cannot be druids.
The characters I have at 80 now are comprised of 3 paladins, 2 warriors, 2 mages, and one of each: rogue, hunter, shaman, priest.
In terms of races, it would be 6 blood elves, 3 humans, a void elf, and an orc. The monk will be the seventh blood elf.

In terms of overall appeal I would say Holy Paladin felt the most fun.
About tanking: I found it to be extremely spammy, badly designed, and unpleasant despite spending the majority of my time playing as a tank. Their rotations need to have normalized speed regardless of number of enemies, and generally made slower and more comfortable.

TWW: Zones felt quite bland. Karesh is a complete shithole. Only two great dungeons: Meadery and Priory. Rest are forgettable.

Because a new fanbase tends to be much more active and can spread their annoying bullshit everywhere until the honeymoon period ends, but until then you have to deal with an ever evolving stream of dumbasses.
With old bad fanbases you already know that they're shit, but also that they can be avoided since they tend to stick to their own hives full of the diehard fans.

But like >>716490634 said, if you actually end up hating a game solely because of a fanbase, you're a massive retard. Literally just get off of social media and you don't have to deal with any fanbase unless you're playing something like a MMO.

I still can't get over how much worse the 1-58 experience was in cata compared to vanilla.
/tg/ - When did the old school end?

anyone who doesn't know that the old school became "the old school" instead of just what the discourse is like when 3rd edition and especially 3.5e took the world by storm so hard that it almost sounded like a good idea to make D20 Modern with it is either lying or retarded.
and frankly, I wish the old school was more dead, with their bleating about wanting less rules as if locking shit like how much damage you can do by goomba stomping a goblin or how flammable grease from the Grease spell is behind reading the GM's mind is supposed to spontaneously make players more inventive.
