Pearsall is looking like a legitimate number 1 target and all the young guys seems to be overperforming roleplayers like Jauan Jennings. By the time Aiyuk is back later this season the 49ers receivers look to be a strength of the team.

Terry is legit my favorite player of all time but this is 100% on either him or a rotten agent. The new regime doesn’t need to pay him more than what he’s worth just because he was loyal in the dark years, horrible management is why we sucked for so long. If anything a $28mil multi year contract is a great show of faith given the alternative is franchise tagging him next year or completely sweating him out. Either way Terry put both himself and the team in a worse spot over a few extra mil. I’m truly not trying to pocket watch but I just think the switch up from being legit the most humble and loyal guy in the league is crazy.

C'mon now. We still got a top heavy team. I feel great about Saleh coming back but it's going to take some time to rebuild the defense.
I feel great about CJ West and feel optimistic on Mykel Williams but I've yet to see him play. Don't know how I feel about Alfred Collins yet but he does have upside. I think Bryce Huff will also be solid when it comes to pass rushing. Fred is great but other than him idk. Dee Winters looks like he's going to start and Zack Martin is very hit or miss. His good plays look great like the blitz sack he had but he's also missed a shit load of tackles. If he can fix his flaws, I think he'll be good. That being said, I don't think this team will be competitive till next year at the earliest. We already have a bunch of injuries. My hopes is we just get hot towards the end of the season with this weak ass schedule and sneak into the playoffs

The 49ers look to be good. The problem is depth but the team is built and ready to compete right now. We'll be better next year for sure but we're not starting as low as people think we are. The Rams are a lot more vulnerable than people realize, that division is ours and we should be shooting for the 1 seed with the soft schedule we have. By the time the playoffs roll around, the team will either be injured to hell or the young guys will have developed into solid starters.

It's either last year or the year before with not a lot of outcomes inbetween. If we're not contenders, we're going to be bad.

I see it what you mean. But I don't want to get my hopes up yet. I do think the Rams aren't as good as everyone thinks, especially given Staffords condition. Ronnie bell catches that ball in their first match and Deebo catches his ball in the 2nd game then Niners sweep them. Also the Seahawks had the same record as them last year. I actually see the Seahawks as the favorite to win the division. Our Niners can win it but this fucking injuries are already piling up.
