Cyrus is alive in the screenshots of the game we've been provided, and the reports of the mission the tubers have played, so I think the cinematic reveal trailer they've shown us is clips from the campaign's own cinematics and he dies later during the campaign, which would explain why it's so relatively schizophrenic as a cinematic trailer, it goes from scene to scene with barely any real coherent direction.

I would assume that, since it's a trailer and they're bringing fan favorite characters back, that Cyrus will not die in the game.
Afterall why kill a character you're bringing back and have voice over the trailer to then kill him in said reveal trailer and yet continue speaking? If he was actually dead I think it'd have been made into a greater deal in the trailer.

I think people are spot on in thinking he'll be primarised, like titus in SM2. The rubicon is stated time and time again to be able to revive marines.

Also: it's not because sequences are in order ABC in the trailer that they will be ABC in the game, it could be CBA or BAC, etc.

Additonally, people have mentioned the necron character is a chronomancer, which is oddly convenient.

And last: we don't see the body burning, only something burning. The trailer is probably tricking us into thinking Cyrus' body is burning.

That won't happen because the intercessor kit doesn't come with any special weapons.
So if we want that then it means GW has to make a new primaris tacticals kit which will contain regular ints and then a pyreblaster, plasma incenerator and a meltagun.

They're actually not in sequence in the trailer either, you see instances of cyrus crawling on the ground with the wound in its chest before we get to see the scene if him getting stabbed by the cryptek, then we see the funeral, and then we see again the scene of his stabbing with the ship crashing into the necron structure.

I think cyrus will in fact die at the end of the game, but that stab wound won't be it.

I am sure this is a stupid question but I am still learning, when I charge an enemy unit and pile in on said enemy unit if some of my units in the charging unit cannot pile in base to base because of terrain or w/e does that mean the models that are part of that charging unit but not touching the base of any of the enemy units cannot engage in melee combat with them?

Taking a step away from HH, it's occurred to me that few of 40k's campaigns receive the full novelization treatment. One way to amend that would be to retool the (defunct) Space Marine Battles/Conquests series as a more general Warhammer 40,000 Conquests (title not final) series and publish novel adaptations of the wargame's campaigns under that label.

In a perfect world gravis and phobos just become a new armor mark and are used as such, like the old metal captains in different marks to give them character.
I'm normally against streamlining, but when it's used to give people freedom in customization it's incredible.

The way I stopped metal models from falling apart was to scrape the metal hard in two directions on both sides of contact.
Then I would cut a piece out of the receiving end. following that I would cut out a piece and bend it from the part that goes in, like my own tab. That metal bends easily with the right force and tact. (you can use a peen set with a nail driver to pinch it too)

Or do what many do and make a pin for it if you can manage to drill into it without damaging the model. I do not recommend using solder wire. It doesn't hold like you think it does, it's meant for round cylinders to hold something.
