I've gotten my deck pretty consistent with getting my first kill turn 3-4 on average but I've had Tifa get Volatile Stormdraked and Gilded Draked a few times and the deck is absolutely fucked without her. I'm thinking of adding and alt-wincon of Chocobo Racetrack, cutting Utopia Sprawl or Arbor Elf for it.

I've got a pretty basic/casual Tajic, Blade of the Legion voltron deck and even with several mulligans over the last few weeks, and playing it over a dozen times, I still haven't drawn Worldslayer sooo.. kinda hard to believe you get the needed cards so easily every single game

What are some good Black/White commanders?

My friend has this Black\White life gain deck which revolves around life gain and spending it to use as mana/bringing back stuff from the dead/making things very annoying for opponents using various white enchantments (enchantment which makes it so counters can't be placed on anything,land tax, etc). Can't remember the commanders name though.

I've never really used white before, but seeing his deck made me want to try this combo. I just want it to behave differently though so its not just me trying to copy him

Not every single game 100% but it has a ton of redundancy so is very consistent. You can also do stuff like +2/+2 buff, land and harrow, or +2/+2, fetchland+ rampant growth effect to get lethal damage. I do want to add a few more buffs like Might of old Krosa, Embiggen and Giant Growth, maybe Rancor too to make it even more consistent

Why would anyone run Torment of Hailfire over Exsanguinate? I get that Torment is better if you don't cast it for lethal X, but isn't that the point of running a big X finisher spell? My first deck was Miirym because I had no idea how ridiculously overpowered she was. The original build was a $20 budget deck of draft chaff commons and uncommons since I didn't want to spend a lot, but I got some upgrades as a gift and it quickly became too powerful.

Pantlaza looked really fun when I was checking out precon commanders, so I ended up building him. I couldn't get my hands on the precon itself since LCI had just come out and everyone was buying him up, but I built a neat deck that was half dino tribal (duh) but the other half of the deck was lots of exile synergies, so it didn't play as just a generic dino/flicker deck. I liked it a lot, but it still ended up being too strong and Pantlaza himself was a pushed slop commander anyways. Nowadays my decks are more unique and I don't play slop, but Pantlaza was fun.

Aside from the not-being-able-to-play aspect, there's also the issue of getting locked out of the game while the stax player can't close it out. Same with extra turns and MLD. If you can finish out quickly, people would be fine. but watching someone durdle for turns while you can't do shit is frustrating.

The funny this Rofellos is giga strong in brawl on arena even though people aren’t building the deck as competitively as possible. They’re just ramping and not even comboing which you can do very easily with cards like Green Sun’s Zenith.

NTA but I have all the fetch/panorama lands, Bristly Bill effects, Sword of the Animist effects, additional lands/gy land play, Adventuring Gear/Skyclave pickaxe, and some auras/equip like Rancor. Drawing t3/4 kill hand isn't very hard and most of the time the only thing I need to worry about is a cheap removal hitting Tifa.

It's an all gas no brakes deck. Miniscule removal because my removal is killing a player. By T3/4 assuming Tifa didn't eat removal due to the amount of redundancies I have I usually have an additional land card out or something that gives +1 or +2 for land fall and a landfind spell like Cultivate or Entish Restoration in hand along side a fetchland or two ready to pop. A T4 Tifa with a Bristly Bill effect and an additional land effect and two fetch effects can go straight from raw:

(1) > fetch+BB (1>2>4) > fetch sac+BB (4>5>10) > 2nd land+BB (10>11>22)

And that's my lower power Tifa build. It's easy to go even faster consistently with one off Giant Growth type 1-off buffs. Any of the myriad +2/+2 1cmc cards and Giant Growth or any of the the myriad +3/+3 2cmc cards and a single fetch gives you an easy consistent t3/4 lethal if you hit your drops and a dork.

Well built decks will have their finishers start dropping at 4-5 mana so turn 3-4 is usually when someone decides the game but for most players it's not immediately apparent.

How do you get over fear of attacking? Every single game I feel like the board up in a position where I can't productively attack without losing my own shit, and think that the shit I would lose is worth more than what I'd gain by attacking, so I end up just doing first main and then passing unless I've got evasion

This might sound obvious, but your creatures that have an ability when they enter the battlefield are expendable. Always throw them into the meat grinder first.
Additionally, learn to bluff. If you swing a 0/1 kobold into an untapped 12/12 Ghalta, you're going to make them question why you're doing that. Sometimes you can get a creature through combat just by making an obviously suboptimal move, because they don't know what trick you have in your hand. (Don't do this while you're tapped out, by the way.)

I've got a VERY stupid idea - I'm planning on buying one of the eoe booster boxes. I play with 3 others, I was thinking of how to work it into a casual commander draft, anyone done this before? Here is my current idea: 60 card decks, everyone gets a 1 counter and a 2 counter. Any legendary cards pulled go into a separate zone and whoever pulled it can put either their 1 or 2 counter on it. If they put their 2 counter or no counters on it, they may choose another card this pick. If a card has a 1 counter on it other players can only put their 2 counter on it. You can move your 1 counter to another legendary with no 1 counters on it during your next card pick, when you do, players with a 2 counter on it may put their 1 counter on it. If no players do, any other player can put a 1 counter on it. If you pull a card thats a dupe of a card already in your deck, you put it into a separate face down pile. Whenever at least 3 cards have been added to the pile since the last time you looked at the pile, you can shuffle it and look at the pile, you can then choose to replace your pick with a card from the pile. At the end of the draft you get whoever your 1 counter is on as your commander. If you do not have your 1 counter on a legendary creature, you may choose from the remaining legendary creatures. If there are no legendary creatures to choose from, you may nominate a card from your deck to be your commander and then add a card from the dupe pile to your deck. Then every player chooses one: (a) if your commander is not monocolored, one of the colors in their cost becomes a color of your choosing not already in their cost . (b) choose a color not in your commander's cost. Cards of that color may be added to your deck. Thats it - very silly I know, but do you think it could be fun for a one off? Can somebody show me some example decks that are more control or defense oriented with late game guys? I really like the idea of decks where you stop yourself from dying, stabilize with healing, and then get some big fuck off dudes and start swinging face. Thing is, I just have only now started to really dip my toes into the game and want to get an idea on how many creatures and the like i should run if that is gonna be my gameplan. It's quite janky, i have a few on upkeep scry/surveil enchantments that i also donate/gift away.
