Its a really good romance with tons of references to spiritual development and mysticism. The girls are angels literally, its following the thinking that the stars are angels, they get reincarnated to fight evil and theres a forbidden love with the main girl and Tuxedo Mask that keeps it going. Usagi only shows attraction to Haruka and Seiya when she thinks they're men, and is otherwise completely Mamoru-sexual.

I'm not rejecting the idea, but the concept fit neatly enough to everything predating it to felt natural. The first chapter is Usagi idolizing the unknown Sailor V and being told she has to find the princess, which future chapters sequentially make V the big last reveal. She didn't have to tie-in Sailor V to BSSM, but they kept the og V costume in BSSM chapter 1 and used the decoy as the reason for the costume switch up. It felt natural as a way to tie the gap.

She decided to redo the idea from scratch and make a new protagonist and add elements of astrology and sentai to it. then she added Venus as one of the other characters. originally, Venus was named after the goddess, not the planet. The DS ふたりはプリキュアmax heart beat-em-up actually has a solid foundation and could have easily been made into a serious arcade brawler if they'd expanded the girls' movesets a little bit and cranked up the difficulty. Coolest shit in the game is the wall jump into aerial attack you can do which doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere in the manual.
It's just that the game is ridiculously easy because the enemy variety isn't there, recovery items are plentiful, infinite revives/pick me ups, bosses telegraph their attacks really hard, supers are extremely OP... I get that this is for your 妹 to play, but it sucks because the foundation is seriously strong.
Playing as Shiny Luminous however could possibly be seen as a sort of challenge mode since she fucking sucks ass, but it's still not challenging enough.
