They said it's ~4 hours long, probably closer to 2.5 in the real world, and they price games based on "value". Mario Kart World only takes a few hours to get through, and that's $80. Pretty much what's killing modern media is the dumbing down for the lowest common denominator and making games specifically to just be superficially consumed without too much investment than discarded for the next thing. it results in a lot of games being shallow experiences. As someone who pretty much exclusively played Nintendo myself I don't know what happened to the general Nintendo fandom on /v/.
