Technically you can hatewatch without helping their numbers. The issue is you have to shut up about it. Watch it, don't like it, keep quiet about not liking it. Because the alternative is you talk about how much it sucks, people watch it to see how much it sucks and these people don't pirate it and therefore give numbers.

The only REAL way to hurt companies that do shit like this is sadly you have to buy their streaming product, watch the show for 10 mins, then turn it off. This way their system gets a note that you watched it and turned it off. Telling them it is bad. NOT watching it just means 'you were the intended audience' and they don't care. But watching shows you were interested but quitting after 10 mins of episode 1 shows that you didn't like it. Of course this requires tens of thousands of people to do it, so it is only actually effective if people actually do it and it's pretty difficult to actually get people to understand how this works and get them to do it if they 'hate the show'. But sadly that is how it works.
