For being Sol’s love interest and changing course to have Jack O be the one instead of Aria proper, they sure are lazy with her. I mean I haven’t watched that piece of shit anime, but I saw the wedding scene with Dizzy and I’m pretty certain this show takes place after Strive so why the fuck does Jack O have her halo AGAIN. In some matchups it's borderline impossible. If you're playing Marisa/Manon and you're trying to catch a burnt out Akuma playing lame, the only way to do it is for him to fuck up in the first place.

With AKI I've been doing EX Fireball on burnt out opponents and then just walk behind and anti-air if they try to jump out. This works decently but some characters can slide or Akuma can just demon flip and fuck up your anti-airs.
She's also got slide and Cruel Fate to go under/over fireballs if they're not in burnout, but these only work on a read, altho EX Cruel Fate is plus on block

I also played Dhalsim to Masters and I couldn't figure out how to stop people from doing that. He can't really chase behind fireballs so you can't use the same tactic, and he has fuckall mobility.
You can still win fireball wars with his slide or his teleport, but again these work more on a read than a reliable counter.

This is also the game where everyone bitches they made instant blocking a 2f window, yet again you still see top level players pull that off in matches.

Well SF is built on national stereotypes. If it wasn't obvious enough, the main char designer even praised OG Overwatch back in the day for succeeding in the same thing they were doing with SF2 back in the day.

But you play online and some DLC character you don't own rapes your face over and over again because you have no idea how they work and YT videos are useless and gay compared to having hands one experience, so you buy the DLC.

GST is $39.99 at full price, then there's THREE DLCs at $24.99 a piece and one at $14.99. It's $130 to get the whole game and every character. Maybe you can buy the "blazing edition" for $90 but if you never played a fighting game why would you spend that much money on a single game?

Now I'm not defending strive but something clearly had to be done here. Like even xrd had some combos that were so hard people playing it for YEARS still couldn't do them. Also some characters were so hard pro players would still say I don't want to learn them because it takes too much time in training mode. I mean once you're on that level you've clearly failed. At this point its no longer a game its a life commitment and for what? Strive maybe over simplified but its pretty clear arcsys didn't want to just gradually undertune a game when they could have gone bankrupt if they still made it too hard so they chose to make it as easy as possible.
