As one of the 15 people who played Avowed to completion, hard disagree. I actually liked Avowed more than I expected and it was better than Outer Worlds, but on the kikiest rat kike would imply it's better than E33.

E33 has a great story, soundtrack, character designs but the combat is ass how it's solely focused on parry and dodge it should have been a secondary thing not a primary thing. That and the dark souls bouts to rest flags is ass and having estus flask healing system is ass the are is cool like the legend of dragoon but the parry dodge system sucks it should have visual cues like vagrant story with its risk breaker chain combos if they did all that the game would be a 10/10 as of now I give it a 8.5/10 because it's combat just sucks

I beat Avowed on max difficulty while doing most of the side quests.
Game is not good. Combat is great but very one note once you get it you've got it and it doesn't change.
Gearing is too easy and you will find broken gear all over the world.
Exploration is fun since every place has this op gear. But there's so many hidden spots they no longer feel special and you eventually notice the patterns ruining exploration as well.

Its a good game surface level but you play it and it falls apart. Story is also ass, there's one moment that caught me off guard but it wasn't good enough to save the game.

Haven't played Expedition 33 yet, but my impression of Avowed from playing 70% of it was that it's insufferably generic. I eventually just decided to quit because the game felt so devoid of novelty and inspiration that I saw no reason to waste my time with it further. It doesn't do anything poorly, but it doesn't do anything interesting either. It's the vidya embodiment of content slop.

Avowed is fine. The writing quality is noticeably worse than Pillars 1 & 2, but passable for the most part. They didn't actively ruin the world building and lore of the previous games like a certain other series Veilguard so I am still somewhat hopeful/delusional that we could get a Pillars 3. E33 I haven't tried because from what I have seen, the combat had a bunch of QTEs and I hate QTEs.
