>I don't get what any of this is supposed to mean
The President is explaining to Sam APAC's plan to stop people from relocating to avoid the risk of voidouts and preserve the species. Then, Diehardman shows up, does the dance, and reveals that Sam was using a modified version of the Q-pid to connect settlements all along, stopping APAC's plans. Then, he goes on a speech about how humans need to use their bodies and that they need movement.
>the physical sensation of movement is something we all crave, that unity of body and soul

So the dance fits perfectly with the game's themes.

Does this series even have a satisfying narrative? All these Hollywood stars, mocapping, realistic graphics and cutscenes. Please tell me it at least amounts to something?
Even someone that didn't play e33 knows the basic plot by now. I have never seen anyone discuss anything about the story of DS.

I don't get why you'd think it's a shitpost. I'm explaining why something happens to someone who clearly hasn't played the game and ironically implies that it's "symbolism beyond comprehension" when it's clearly not. It's pretty straight forward.

consescending characters winking at the camera every cutscene and giving you likes [game currency] for doing absolutely nothing at all, just sitting on you ass having given them real money for this weird gamer-cucking experience. Cucking you out of actually going outside and hiking, at least. making you pretend you hiked Mt. Fuji for a false sense of accomplishment that your fellow Twittertard cultists will reward you for [with social media clout]. A self-cannibalizing cult of pretention, much like here, but way more pathetic because they refuse to see themselves for what they are.

I love trolling DS but I also got my share of fun doing deliveries and biking in it is almost meditating.
I don't like trucks and roads that's it. And playing online so 80% of the enjoyment of building shit is taken away by others.

This. The way to play is offline, never touch a truck, never build a road, and NEVER build a fucking zip line. It's literally just erasing the gameplay. You can complete the entire game without any of that shit.

Nah I like building ziplines. I drop one zip tower per trip in a location while I do secondary deliveries and it is when I know that part of the map good enough that my zipline network is done and so before I move to another region I use it for a couple of missions in order to see the map from above and check out all those path I took from a bird's pov.

Okay, so like, the Death Stranding happened because Hillary Clinton was born, which made it so rain causes things to age faster, and disembodied souls show up in the world of the living and drag people to hell. If a soul touches a dead body it causes an antimatter explosion, so for all the above reasons everyone lives in underground bunkers. Some people get DOOMS syndrome which gives you death-related superpowers. Porters like Norman Reedus travel between settlements to deliver things, and user babies inside of pods to help detect the presence of disembodied souls in the environment. It turns out Hillary Clinton is both Norman Reedus' Mom AND his childhood friend love interest, and in the end he stops her from destroying humanity, also stops his pod baby from getting aborted and raises her as his kid.
