But the most efficient playstyle is using the skipline, which is equally unfun.

God forbid they want to do something interesting with their time. As opposed to spending tens of hours building a skipline to trivialise what "gameplay" is already in DS.

Hate walking and driving? Build a zipline. But first you need to collect the material. How? By first walking and driving. Alot. This is a chore by definition.
DS gets called a walking simulator for a reason. In other games, walking, or travelling with whatever means, is a means to an end, to get to the next activity. In DS, walking IS the activity. Kojima drones get huge dopamine hits from using shit like roads and ziplines because it indicates progression.
>I once struggled here, but now I can breeze through it
They fail to realise they bought a game with a boring activity, then engaged in said activity in order to get tools to skip it.

This zipline lets me skip straight to the next Hollywank exposition dump.

I hate Death Stranding so much, it's a waste of everybody's time. It's a waste of the player's time, it's a waste of all the actors time, it's a waste of Kojima's time, the whole Death Stranding concept is just time being wasted.

I hate Konami for firing Kojima instead of letting him work on Metal Gear until he dropped dead, now he can just deliver mid-tier games with pretty graphics and Hollywood actors and everyone just think it's the greatest thing ever made.

Kojima drones will now respond by saying it's not a walking simulator. They mean the game looks like this. The zipline lets you skip the gameplay

Filtered. You do much more than walking. For example, look at this zipline network. It lets you skip the game. Allowing you to move faster between exposition dumps so you can huff Kojima's farts.

It means connecting with other players by walking on the same paths, forging roads, building bridges that assist one another. Ziplines. Help others skip the game entirely. Even kojimbo drones hated the feature. Kojima, when told about Dark Souls doing "strand" gameplay, he responded "I don't play games". Kojimbo drones can't even reach consensus on what they like about the game or even what "strand type" games are because they are slop eating drones.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Death Stranding. The gameplay is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the trigger buttons most of the traversal will go over a typical gamer's head. There's also Kojima's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his writing - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Hollywood movies, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these references, to realize that they're not just films - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Death Stranding truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the meaning behind Amelie's existential catchphrase "Like Mario and Princess 'Beach'" which itself is a cryptic reference to videogame classic, Super Mario Bros. 2. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kojima's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Norman Reedus tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Every time I see a webm from these games it's anything but walking, doesn't seem to be the focus.
