The BB you adopt gets left in a different world and gets raised by dead people and since time flows differently there she comes back as a 20-somethingish year old and has some weird powers and turns out to be the next extinction entity. Neil takes out his frustration on Sam for getting cucked but is revealed to have been protecting Sam's baby in the other world the whole time at the end of the game. Fragile was revealed to have been dead since she teleported the baby to the other world but her body dragged on until the end of the game, she also gave the baby to the people in the other world who raised her. It was $20 when I bought it, Sony was selling them as a promotion for their game streaming service.
Normal Bluetooth adapters have more latency (the Sony adapter is 2.4GHz) and don't support audio.
Now they go for insane prices because they're discontinued, but for $20, it was definitely worth it over a $10 Bluetooth adapter.

DS2 takes a lot from MGSV to a point of almost being a spiritual successor

The snowy mountain area is incredible in this game. Naturally I ditched the vehicles for my first trek to each new prepper, had an intense blizzard throughout most of my trek to that first snowy mountain prepper. As I was keep on keeping on through the final 500 metres and the prepper was in sight the blizzard started to clear and night time descended. The colors of the night sky and the look of the snow, the sense of scale when you angled to camera to look down, Sam barely able to keep on going as his stamina was almost gone, ready to collapse at the front door of the prepper, absolute pure kino.

I was enjoying the game a lot but something clicked harder when I had to delivery 200lbs of bullshit from the Animal Shelter to the West Observatory out of the network. In the way was a camp so I had got out my truck and checked out the area. Rappelled down cliffs, placing ladders up to a vantage point and did recon, then waited until night to take out the guards only in the way. That last climb up the anchor at night in the rain, I thought I was Snake in the opening of Ground Zeroes. After doing all that I got to the objective unloading everything into the carrier with the in-game hands.

Honestly the only thing holding this game back from being a masterpiece is really just that its too goddamn easy, the first game had the same problem and its not better here. I get that they're worried about making an AAA game too "annoying" but the game really shines the rare few times it actually puts the screws on you. My private lockers are absolutely packed with shit because I barely need to use all the resources and game mechanics the game provides you

It's a minor story detail that instead of there being separate lethal and non-lethal guns/ammo like before, there's just Multipurpose guns that automatically change ammo type based on your target. Kinda similar in function to the gun IDs and lockouts in MGS4.
Eventually the bandits start firing lethal ammo and your crew is like "how did they bypass the lockouts??" and after linking up one guy he sends you an email with a secret code he says to try using, which activates lethal fire mode, and there are some other details that indicate he's the one that's been distributing weapons to the local bandits, but dealing with this issue is an optional side mission.

Yeah, the obviousness is pretty jarring. Like in DS1, the only 4th wall break I remember was Higgs commenting on the player getting tired of the grind and wanting a boss battle/game over, but he didn't wink at the camera as he said it. And it could easily be construed as him just being weird (he uses game lingo a lot) and still talking to Sam.

The cutscenes and dialogue are much better in this game than DS1 imo, it still has that Kojimaism where people talk like autistic robots but its more charming than annoying in this game, and they don't repeat themselves as much because of the corpus. The stealth and shooting mechanics are still nowhere near MGSV's imo, but they are slightly improved over the first games.
Melee combat is the most fun imo.

I bought the game because I enjoyed playing the previous game.

Playing Death Stranding 1. Like it so far, but only a few characters are kind of lacking. Sam is way too chuuni for an old man but he's not the worst, it's people like Mama and Heartman who are forgettable and lame and make me wonder if they're just friends with Kojima who got a nepo role, kind of like the Japanese girl who marries the junk dealer.
