Early 30s and doing just fine. Just bought a PS5 and Astro Bot was great. Probably going to play Returnal or Clair Obscur next. Otherwise it's a bunch of PC turn based strategy games. At this point I can't play a single player campaign if it's over 20 hours long. I don't have the attention span nor do I want to commit to that. I will probably break this rule with Clair but I hear it's not an overly long RPG
early 30s now. I transitioned a couple of years ago. best decision of my life. I recommend it to everyone whoโs a struggling autistic male
Early 30s here, I started playing /trash/ games multiplayer, the gay ERP soothes my soul. Highly recommended.

>When Julius Caesar was about 33 years old, while visiting a temple in Spain dedicated to Hercules, he encountered a statue of Alexander the Great. Upon seeing the statue and learning Alexander had died at the same age, Caesar reportedly wept. The problem now is, that you aren't done with the day early after and ready to play 2 hours later, you're done with the day just 4 hours before heading to bed. So there's AT BEST 2 hours of real free time there. And, at least from my perspective, that's such a short time frame, that it's hard to really immerse into a game. >>714712351I've been "depressed" since I was 14 or arguably 11. When I was 11 I realized I didn't have the capacity to truly connect with other people, and I determined I would never make a "real friend" because I can't emphasize with others. When I was 14 I decided I'll give myself until 25 to see if I might learn the secret to enjoying life, and if not I'd kill myself. A few months before turning 25 I realized my time was coming up, that I never learned what I meant to find out, and that I was in a worse place than I took for granted at 14, since I at least assumed I'd have a real career and my own place, instead of living with my parents and working as a gofer at a law firm. So I pussed out of suicide by coping that "I can't kill myself because I was never alive in the first place."
I don't have many tangible problems like I see people mope about in these threads, like being abused or raised by alcoholics or whatever. I just don't enjoy a lot of things and I don't understand how other people do.

I think you need to be indocronated early into the wageslave lifestyle to tolerate it, if you spend a significant chunk of your youth as a neet I legitimately believe its over. I don't think people do a 180 from that and can suddenly just handle a full time job forever like the rest of society.

Maybe forever.

>>714717376Here's how this works in my country: 70% of the job postings are fake because they get money from the government to "hire" people (that they don't need and won't actually hire, so they get subsidies for being "understaffed"). 10% of them are just a formality because they're hiring the owner's friend's nephew, so they have to justify it somehow and they tailor the qualifications to exactly what he has. 20% of them are jobs where you will never get paid because you're first either required to do an "internship" or they just accept you and promise pay and don't pay and then fire you and hire another idiot when you start complaining.

>>714717810To add to that, I only described jobs that you don't need to be a brown immigrant to get (they get those directly through agencies working with their home countries, so they don't really appear on listings anyway - agencies which are of course owned by our local political mafia and their families). As I've already said I'm not from a rich country where they give ridiculous amounts of money to everyone who's above 85IQ because they can actually put a square peg into a square hole, so whatever you'll suggest probably pays $500/month here or it's done by Indians. Apply to a clinic, they will train you and get your prepared to take your test to become an RBT (the test is easy as fuck I've never heard anyone fail it). Quit the company and work for in-home services because they pay significantly better and you essentially get to pick your own work hours because people are desperate for services.
Now if you want to become a BCBA and make more money I'd suggest you stay at the clinic. But if you just want something with fast growth to making decent tier money with almost no investment than do the first thing I said.

>>714719925I'm not leaving my fucking childhood home
>>714720147No, once you turn 30 you will reach a state of mental clearness on which you will magically accept your existence.
>>714704425 (OP)I started Expedition 33 and got hooked, played like 6 hours straight on a Saturday. Went on a trip during the week and played another like 6 or 7 hours the following Saturday, I finished the first act and was like "DAMN, I really like this, I want to see what happens next"
I haven't touched it again since, it's been almost two months.
Why am I like this? It sucks, I can't even bring myself to click play.
>>714719812have you tried meds?
>>714706941>Put me in the screencap
>>71471432539 anon again, yeah it sucks, i've almost given up but i'm taking a trip to my home country to potentially geomax to find my 27-30 yo waifu, otherwise i'm not marrying a walled hog or single mom in her 30s, my last 3 dates have been with single moms, good news is that they are eager to have sex
How do I make myself be productive
Every day I just wake up and lie in bed hating myself until I pass out
I've been doing this for 10 years
I can't make myself do anything at all
>>714716554I agree with this anon
>muh kidsgrow up.
>>714704425 (OP)22 zoomGOD here, the only modern games i play are multiplayer ones, all the good songle player games came out decades ago
I have 50 grand in cash
How do I become rich?
>>714720128I did not ever see myself working with kids let alone autistic ones but I do gotta say after almost 3 years now doing this job I enjoy it. Now there are gonna be some days where it sucks but the good days completely overshadow them. Seeing a kid that couldn't even speak progress into saying full sentences like "I love you mom." really is a good feelin'.
If you choose this path you are probably going to be working mostly with women, it is a female dominated field but that honestly isn't a bad thing. Everyone doing this job is pretty caring and empathetic. No backstabbing can even be done really because there are just so few techs and BCBAs to serve the community. Companies are hungry as fuck to hire people all the time.
>>714720387Not gonna take your mind control pills.
>>714720496wait for Elon Musk to say something retarded in Xitter and then invest it all in dogecoin

>>714720328ive heard several people say this in my life, but everywhere i look people 30 or older still complain about life and existence.

>>714716478>mfw came raw in my onahole 10 times this morning and it didn't nag onceI'm literally having better and more sex than normalfags with 1000000 times less effort
why does anyone bother with real sex?
>>714720643You can still complain after you hit 30, life IS pretty shit sometimes, you just learn to accept it.
The moment I start making six figures I will be genuinely happy. No one is happy making 34k a year, it is impossible.
>>714720147It depends solely on what you make of it. You hit a crossroads where to either appreciate the decisions youโve made, learn from them, and keep working on yourself, even if youโre a loser, or you just become bitter and jaded, successful or not. Iโm in the former, I focused too much on wanting to be a normalfag and prioritized girls and sex too much, I achieved it, and in the 30s portion of my life, Iโm just now making good money and finding my footing professionally. I hit a quarter life crisis early on where I felt like a loser who wasted his youth on a bunch of meaningless vain shit because I was so insecure about being a shit in wow nerd. However, I came out of it, and now have a mental clarity I never had before, and just am okay with stuff going how itโs going and feel peaceful as I work towards my goals.
>>714720540can I do this job if I'm also an autist?
>>714720772Pretty much yea.
>>714720284WHEN THEY YOU BETTER START MAKING MONEY FOR THOSE MORTGAGE/INSURANCE/UTLIITY PAYMENTS.
Losing your identity is always hard, but life can be cruel like that.
How do I cope with my parents genuinely ruining my life and turning me into a worthless dependent who doesn't even get help from anyone because they never got my problems diagnosed?
>>714706941You're here forever.
>>714720874no
I've been taken care of my entire life why do I all of a sudden have to learn how to do everything with no help????
>>714720908Confronting them with your grievances is a good start I guess.
>>714718429>>714719642what the fuck kind of insurance scam is this?
>>714720908>ITS MY PARENTS FAULT THAT IM A FAILURE!!!!man up
>>714706520Happy to hear, anon. Keep enjoying life!
>>714718737keep stalling and doing nothing. it will all work out.
>>714721087it LITERALLY is
instead of helping me out when I clearly needed more accommodations than normal people they just hit me and yelled at me and drank and stabbed each other and wasted all of their money so now they're dying and have no way to care for themselves or pay someone to do it and I can't do it and they have no safety net for me and I have never had a genuine loving relationship with ANYONE EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE
>>714708219I think it's because modern games are meant to maximize playtime instead of fun.
>>714721079Its called healthcare, the entire thing is one big scam.
>>714720982It's not your fault. Your parents didn't push you when they should have. The banks aren't you to accept your sob story though. If you're gonna be forced out you'll at least get money from the equity.
>>714705804Very funny, faggot.
35 y/o here, why are boomers so insufferable?
I honestly hope I don't end up becoming like them
>>714721328I don't even know how to find a place to live
I don't have a job
I don't have a car or a license
I don't have a college degree
I don't have ANYTHING
>>714711527No, Jonathan Swift. We're not giving into your inverse-modest proposal idea.
>>714720643It depends on how many hardships life has thrown at you. Having regrets in particular can haunt you till your final days.
>>714720128I am also an RBT and yea you can start making way better wages than most other jobs after like 3-5 months. I was getting offers for $33 an hour. Now I will tell you that obviously you are gonna be working with families with different dynamics and some with severely autistic kids. I've worked with a family that had the dad troon out and become a woman. I've be punched and bitten but that doesn't really hurt because I only work with babies/toddlers.
>>714721264This is why anti-natalism exists. Bringing a child into this world is a cruel thing, especially if you have no interest in helping them thrive.
>>714721320damn, imagine having 3-4 autists and just making super bank...maybe it's time I career change.
>>714720540Based. I appreciate the insight, anon. Iโm gonna reach back out to the hiring manager. Iโve been gut checking it for a few days and logically just deciding if itโs the path I wanna go down, but Iโm gonna do it.
>>714721478you have the internet so learn how to do some shit or not and wallow in shit. It's your life
>hated AI shit and railed against it for years
>one day out of sheer boredom actually watch one of the goofy AI Presidents play dogshit games videos
>find myself actually chuckling to it a few times
>get addicted and now all I watch is this shit because it reminds me of the time when I played dumb games with my friends before they all got married to women they hate and have nothing in common with and turned their backs on videogames forever
I don't know where to go from here. I don't like what I've become but I can see no other path forward. The modern internet and world in general is just too faggy for my liking.

>>714704425 (OP)30 year old here. been playing Rogue FP alot recently, and it's a pretty fun remake of Rogue. i couldnt get into the original because it felt too overwhelming with the amount of keys it uses for different things, but FP is exactly what i want. old school feeling first person dungeon crawler thats easy to understand.
>>714720284I just had to do that myself
spent 25 years there and they're gonna tear it all down, pretty brutal stuff desu
>>714721478Starting from square one is scary and hard, but doable. The hard part is the transition from you now to you then. It's like a rake across your soul.

>>714722002This Grok shit pretty much settles it: In the future some people won't have friends, they will just chat with an AI all day for their social needs.
>>714717583different boards have different demographics. /tv/ feels much older, for example.
>>714722168>>714722002call me a cynic but after seeing how deranged and assholey people have become post social media and covid I welcome AI instead, a computer is a better companion than the deranged nightmare creatures normalfags have become
It's rare to find a thread on /v/ that actually feels sincere and free of irony. This was nice.
I now spend most the time I used to spend gaming on genning porn
It's been more fun
>>714717583I think you slowly do fizzle out or frequent other boards. /v/ is primarily all zoomers now and itโs very noticeable. I go to /tv/ and /lit/ more now, but even then I donโt check this site as much as I did in my mid 20s.
>>714722002My friend is therapist who specializes in people with AI induced psychosis, or something like that. Basically only deals with clients that have gone off the deep end due to AI use. It's pretty rad.
>>714717994This was my realization as well. 4chan is a shadow of what is used to be, but the entire rest of the internet is MUCH worse. I tried going on Twitter for the first time during the outage and the sheer degree of venom and passive aggressiveness being spewed out by the ugliest people I've ever seen is unreal. The worst users of 4chan are angels compared to how fucked up and vicious people have become.
>>714722502>>714722002Sometimes I think Iโm taking crazy pills with how much people downplay the effect of the internet going mainstream and the effect social media has had on the way people interact with and in society. Itโs like nobody remembers the pre patriotic act internet.
really loved e33, only game i completed this year besides the new doom. what else do i play now is the real question.
>>714704425 (OP)I've been enjoying playing a lot of older games, especially with how cheap they are compared to new ones. They have a lot more "SOVL" than modern day stuff, and it made me realize that there's still a lot of good in the world of games, it's just that this industry is in a current unfortunate state with the big-budget games.
>>714721684>because it reminds me of the time when I played dumb games with my friends before they all got married to women they hate and have nothing in common with and turned their backs on videogames forever

>>714717475Quit playing "realistic" space games and start playing good space games like Freelancer, dumbass.
>>714708701The worlds interesting but the writing beyond that is kind of terrible, especially for your characters dialogue options. Way too many Fallout 4 Sarcasm lines or general millenial-esk isms that don't really let you roleplay any sort of deeper character except being the inquisitive player character. That's really what killed it for me the most, treating it like a sandbox only went so far when I couldn't get immersed in what was going on.
>>714717583so many people are obviously 40+ they just don't get called out because kids don't even get the references they make.

Does it ever occur to you guys that we're pioneers? No past generations of humans have ever aged with the internet. We've still yet to reach a point where the majority of the elderly have spent the majority of their lives online. That's what we're going to be though. We're the prototypes experiencing something no other generation ever has, but everyone who comes after us will. Kinda neat.
>>714724751There's no guarantee that the internet will still exist as we know it 100 years from now. Even then though, I agree that our shared experience is unique.
