It's actually cringe, like in that weird try hard sense, were you just know it was meant to be created as something that is "cool" and "epic" and not just something that happened to be written and it becomes that by the players out viewpoint. This was specifically crafted to try and force that type of feeling onto the player instead of just having them come to the conclusion by themselves.

it's both and the mix varies per game. Kojima games have serious, philosophical themes but their execution is sometimes schlock, sometimes melodramatic, sometimes it's just straight good acting, and sometimes is just stupid, absurd fun.

Have you even played this turd? It's unplayable, it's full of bugs and have memory leaks. Game starts eating 20 GiB of RAM after an hour of playtime.
