Night of the Second Day
-36 Hours Remain-
I am buying shadowman. I was scammed of God of War Raganarok. Stupid piece of shit legit wont even launch on my steam deck, takes me to an error report screen instantly. Unbelievable and I cant even refund it too since I bought it on CDkeys because it was like 10 dollars cheaper and without tax. But i doubt cdkeys would accept a refund because ive got a (seemingly) defective key that wont run.
I searched this up online and apparently this mostly happens with people who try to pirate, and yet i spent my own hard earned money on this bullshit. Unbelievable.
>>714942138Satisfactory is a lot of fun. The 3D traversal and exploration gives it a much different texture than most factory builders, as the main way to get alternate recipes for various items is by finding crash sites that often need electricity or rare materials to open. It gives it a nice cadence of improvisational building, exploration, and refinement compared to something like shapez where eventually you've been looking at belts for 5 hours and want to chew through a cable

>>714938847Astlibra and Crosscode have demos
>>714943219It's still the best store management game by far since most of the others that came after tried to be unique istead of just improving on the things this game already did good, dungeons are pretty mindless though so unless you have something to listen while doing them it could get boring in that regard, theres also an HD remaster announced which might fix some of the not so good parts, but for that price I would get it anyways since god knows when it's coming out.

Already beat Strange Horticulture but there's an annoying achievement bug.
>>714943325It is a bit janky and on the easier side, but I think the general gameplay is better than RoR2 since the characters all feel completely different to play while also progressively powering up their own movesets over the rounds and the items actually do change noticeable things unlike RoR2 where you're just basically stacking damage boosts. Downside is that obviously the aesthetics aren't particularly great even if they don't look hideous either, and it is an Early Access title if that bothers you.
Personally I would say that it is a good game.

Someone made a thread with no replies earlier calling this the 'best duke nukem game'
While that's obviously untrue, is it fun in its own right? One of the reviews made it seem like Duke's modern writing is only slightly better than gamergate Minsc.
>>714938847Total War Warhammer is really fun and I definitely got my moneys worth but it's probably not as great if you don't have a lot of the DLC so a big investment. Also during Warhammer 2 they were pumping out top quality dlcs for a reasonable price every 6 months or so. Now they are pumping out mid dlcs for an increased price every 10 months or so. I guess Hyenas really fucked them over and have it on a skeleton crew now, not sure, guess we'll see with the next DLC. There's a lot of things that still need to be fixed, sieges fucking suck, but the game has so much potential.
>>714944929Sounds good and I dont mind early access but only thing I feel concerned about is whether the game is gonna get finished or not considering apparently they spend 35k a month to develop it and make 100 a day. If they didn't say this I would've bought it after trying the demo.
>>714945525Do you enjoy puzzle games?
Escape Simulator is quite good.
You don't need to buy any of the DLCs though they're pretty good too.
There are a lot of custom DLCs, though they vary in quality.
But it's not a game you can play forever, you'll realistically get maybe 50 hours in it (I have twice that with all DLCs and playing custom maps).
Also keep in mind the second game is coming out.
>>714945927I have no idea what their situation is or whether they're a company with other income sources, so I dunno about that stuff. What you've got as of right now is 5.5 unique characters, a decent selection of items and a handful of levels. There is no endgame boss yet but you can continue scaling upwards or choose to leave for rewards after stage 8 (which shouldn't bother you much if you're coming from RoR2 since every endgame option is shit in that game).
Make the decision whether that's worth the current price in your country or if you're just gonna leave it on the wishlist to see if it ever finishes.

>>714946784Yeah, I saw that. But I can't imagine an indie company calling people personnel or talking about teams and I also can't imagine a business has only one source of non-guaranteed income that is an unpopular EA steam title, so who knows what the situation is. If nothing else I give them credit for being open about what to expect and how the game is doing, that's enough for me personally to trust that they'll at least develop it until they give it a proper ending scenario + proper release.
>>714946417it's open world, it's nothing like the hallway simulator that is remake. I consider remake a 6/10 at best, meanwhile rebirth for me is a 9/10
it fixed just about every issue I had with remake
>>714947149yeah, multiplayer is also pretty chill for the most part and is recommended but solo is also entirely viable
>>714938847Strongly recommend Grim Dawn with DLCs even if you're not used to ARPGs
You don't need build guides and you can't really fuck up a build since the game offers respec options (you can't respec your classes but all class combinations are viable even for ultimate difficulty), it's really nice compared to other ARPGs out today.

>>714940537>Do you like extremely complex combat? When does it get complicated? I put 20 hours in and it was still "walk forward and mow down mobs". Literally you control like 9 characters and all of them have to skip turn waiting on this one bitch to run around and do her fucking job. It sucked.

The game then tried to generate a few other nemeses for me but none of them made it past an encounter or two after the first guy.
>>714945548Never played the Gearbox version. The original didn't jive with me, the trickshots being so woven into the economy kinda sucked the fun out of it. The weapons, reactivity, and spectacle are all excellent. Give it a shot, it's a batty game with superb production values.

The difficulty comes from a "catch" that obstructs the obvious solution, and you have to find a new technique to solve the level. Baba has this but a lot of levels have too many rules so the difficulty comes from keeping the complexity in your head.

The combat is pretty fun but the rest of the game is sort of middling to okay at best. When I played it, I was pretty much just looking for eye candy and fun combat and that's what I got but if you're looking for anything more than that it's not particularly worth the money. When you do end up getting it though the DLC is definitely worth it. The Nikke fight was so much fun, easily the best fight in the game. If you're not dying to play it now it is probably best to just wait on it. The story isn't good enough to worry about getting spoiled on it and the longer you wait the more mods there will be for even more lewd/ cute costumes.

>>714949167I am a VR chad with a Kat Walk C2+.
Here are some of the best things to get.
But before we get to that, please remove these games from cart as they suck HARD:
>CyubeVR (Play Vivecraft instead, works with any modpack or basic Minecraft too. Try a Pixel/Cobblemon run with it and it is comfy).>Vermillion (only if you have quest Standalone available. As that will allow you to paint in AR/Mixed Reality. So you can try painting Real Life stuff too.)----
Here are some suggestions:
Single Player / Coop in some cases
>Into Radius 1 and 2 (These are some of the best times you'll have playing)>Blade and Sorcery>Walking dead Sains and Sinners 1 (not 2)>No Mans Sky>Minecraft>Dragon Fist VR Kung Fu>VTOL VR>Paint the Town Red>Extremely modded Skyrim (Maddgod modpack is a good start but needs a lot of resources)>Vertigo 2>Boneworks (ONLY IF YOU DON'T Play any other VR game first. Otherwise it is disappointing and feels like it makes the wrong choices for game design because it refuses to see what other games did and did better than them. Bonelab is a never buy, utter garbage that was updated to be just trash. They are really bad games only impressive if they are your first)>resident evil 2, 7, 8>The ForestMultiplayer
>Pavlov (for Counter Strike feeling FPS not as popular as it took too long to compete with the below option. But I love it. No other game lets me play Ze_MakoReactor in VR, yes it has source zombie escape)>Contractors (Crazy full conversion mods: Battlefront, TF2, Cod Zombies, etc...)>Rec Room>VR Chat>Demeo>Pulsar: Lost Colony>Tabletop Simulator>Phasmophobia>Dungeons of Eternity (Quest 3 standalone for now Steam release in Q3)
>>714974137Cheers. What about the game, though? What did you think of it?
>>714974789I agree with your post. I vote with my dollar and I will purposely avoid games that incorporate denuvo. There are only a few exceptions, with one being shadow of war since I also play on my steam deck and better integration is a plus. Each characters has exclusive masteries that make up the backbone of the class. And then on top of that, there are sets of common and/or exclusive masteries that apply further bonuses. The missions are bespoke and varied, and when a side mission uses an exiting map, there is a always a bit of fresh exposition added. Be wary, there is a lot of yapping along the main quest, it's part a VN.
