Even basic R Cards, the most common type can have some good skills to help fill gaps in your strategy, even if stat-wise they don't provide much.

It's true that the next spotlight card is going to be powerful, but you can also use it just fine even if you don't roll for it, this game has a system that lets you use 1 card from your list of followers, so you just have to follow some whales in-game and that's it, you aren't completely left out.

Also the Guts stat will receive a "rework" later, adding more features to it, as of right now it's the stat with less reward for training.

There are some things to consider, like if you train friendships and they reach max level, they can activate more rainbow trainings (+ some cards can enhance the consistency of rainbows even more with the "Friendship Training" trait).

Also some cards like "Sweep Tosho (SR)" and "Special Week (SSR)" have the "Charming" effect in SOME event which increases the friendship bar even more (you need to select the correct dialogue option for it to happen).

Also you can raise the facilities levels by using it multiple times.

In Summer the training facilities are all considered LV5 by default.

If you check the stats of your Uma when starting a new career... You'll notice that some have like a "+20% speed" or "+10% wit" features, this means that they'll naturally grow that stat more.
