I played the demo and unfortunately for Nintendo it guaranteed i will not be buying it. World textures look awful, FPS constantly tanks and might even freeze, worlds are tiny, camera sucks ass, and i can guarantee you its 10 hours max. The levels are so tiny there's absolutely no way it's 20 hours or more unless theres like 50 of them (theres like 10 probably)

And Odyssey's movement was far more satisfying and fun to utilize than just punching and smashing rocks. This was a bad trade off. They should have just done another Mario.

The movement in this game is really fun. When you unlock the double jump you can do a lot of stuff. Grab chunk -> surf jump -> ZL -> double jump -> ZR for forward momentum -> ZL for roll. You can also do a spin jump while holding chunks. I went back to the first challenge stage and you can just skip the hanging entirely, there’s an entire path up there with gold and they put little dirt chunks near the entrance and the bananas. Game is really fun.

At this point, im thinking the next game will be something we have not seen before, Mario teaming up with DK, to fight Bowser and K.Rool. I could see it being a 45th or 50th anniversary game for the original Donkey Kong arcade. Its set after Bananza and an older Pauline (late teens/early 20s) asks her old friend DK to help save New Donk from K.Rool's new army. A young man Mario who is a blue collar every-man construction worker, thinks DK has kidnapped Pauline (or maybe DK is mind controlled) and they start out as enemies. They work together to fight K.Rool, who then reveals he is working with another evil king that is the true final boss or mid-point reveal or something and its Bowser, and the game ends with Mario traveling to the Mushroom Kingdom for the first time to help save that land from Bowser's empire expansion. Maybe also introduce DK Junior and Stanley into the mix so you can cover all three of the original DK arcade games in it with new explanations.
