If you make any kind of numerical comparison between pokemon and digimon, pokemon wins by at least an order of magnitude. Compare the post counts for the /digi/ general on /vg/ to the /vp/ board, or the number of subscribers on reddit's pokemon and digimon subreddits, or the number of games sold in pokemon games versus digimon games, or the number of views pokemon anime stuff gets versus digimon anime. Digimon is great; I love it. But it's not anywhere near popular enough to warrant its own board.

In CS and HM Black War Greymon was just a better War Greymon in every way. Black Omnimon had better moves and stats than normal Omnimon. Other than that they're mainly just useful for how their trees intersect with other Digimon making it easier to get certain skills but since TS is reworking how moves work it's probably just gonna be for jumping to different Digimon easier.
