I know we won't get a sequel (Keizo called it quits after the DLC), but it would have been nice to know what the imminent threat coming to the planet is now that geass has been defeated and the life & death god's secret weapon (the bakers daughter) has joined forces with the hero.

Since Magicus (Keizo's other game) takes place in the same universe (Mona and Garibe made camoes in Belkade, and the god Lucifer's bio said she's friends with Astrea and Al-Khamis) I though that perhaps the evil space corpo from the game or perhaps the intergalactic government would be the antagonists. Shame we'll never know.

I kinda had more fun with my normal mode run build. Using that one karon skill that made you restore HP for taking damage during a magic attack's I-frames was genuinely busted fun. Berserk memes were fine but popping something like sword dance which has massive I-frames and therefore a huge heal window was cool as fuck. Higher difficulties just sorta lose that interaction cause everything does so much

In terms of gameplay it was a glorified extension of the postgame's final dungeon, with new features and some changes to the mechanics. In terms of story it's the game from the baker's daughter's perspective ( in one of the alternate timelines before the true end), and a conclusion for some of the characters.

The mechanics are pretty cool though. There's just not much to talk about with them. The Libra mechanic is one of the best mechanics I've seen in any RPG because it makes every single item you pick up valuable, even if it's a shit item or a key quest item that you'll never use again.
The weapon and armor mastery system is pretty cool too, on the hardest difficulty I was going out of my way to master every single gear piece because each ability unlock could be huge in a strategy to defeat the next boss. Many bosses I would fight with a mastery that tripled my damage but made everything one shot me along with another mastery that allowed me to cheat death once. With these two together along with memorizing attack patterns and learning to dodge, block or spellcast i-frame through them was extremely engaging. The game is just good. Go play it.

i think you just havent played the game enough, its not really something you actually need to worry about
actually paying off the entire debt is something you should only really go for on a replay. it gives you an interesting dialogue/scenario ending and a new vocation for all savefiles
